Works, but sound quality not good October 21, 2008
Well, it took a bit of work getting my phone to pair up correctly to this device . . . had to disable the "secure connection" setting on the bluetooth com port in Windows Mobile. But, after this initial glitch, it *seemed* to work ok. However, sound quality is pretty poor in my initial tests. I have to turn the volume on the stereo WAY up when using the bluetooth connection for hands free or stereo music streaming. At this point, there's so much static and interference, it's quite annoying to listen to, and the sound is very muffled and difficult to understand. I have the volume on my phone turned up 100%, as well as the volume in my media player (WMP). I'm going to try a few more things to make sure it's not just something on my phone, but so far, I don't think I'll be able to actually make use of this device. Will likely send it back if I can't get the quality to improve. I haven't tried playing music from a USB stick or SD card yet, which is my next test.
